Recommended Dexter E-Z Flex Kit for a 2016 Outdoors RV 20FQ Travel Trailer
Question:
I have a 2016 Outdoors RV 20FQ travel trailer and would like to know which Dexter kit to order. Axles are Dexter 3500# which are 31 1/4inch center to center, shackles are 2 1/4inch center to center bolt holes, springs are 1 3/4inch wide, spring rocker bottom holes are 5 5/8inch center to center, rocker height is 2. From the measurements supplied, it looks like the Dexter E-Z Flex # K71-652-00 will be the best option. The equalizer will basically match your current ones and this will have both wet bolts and the ability to grease the equalizer bolt, but it is a standard bolt. This is also rated up to 6,000 pounds and should work nicely for you.
That being said, if you wanted something with a bit more capacity, we do also have the # K71-653-00. This is rated up to 8,000 pounds, but the equalizer will be wider at 7 11/16 inches. The height will be the same, so this will spread the wheels out a little, but not raise the trailer.
