Furrion Tankless Water Heater Installation Troubleshooting

Question:

Attempted to connect power from original 6 gallon heater to new Furrion tankless water heater and it continues to blow fuses. Any way I can get the video of installation of this unit?

It sounds like your Furrion RV Tankless Water Heater - Gas - Automatic Pilot - 60,000 BTU - 16" x 16" Door Item # FR98SR is getting too much voltage to it. Your prior gas/electric water heater was most likely taking 120V AC current. You can run a new wire to the battery or use an AC/DC power converter panel like the Progressive Dynamics RV Power Control Center with AC/DC Panel and Converter/Smart Charger - 60 Amp Item # PD4560K18LS8 to run the proper voltage to the new water heater.

I am replacing a Furrion RV Tankless Water Heater - Gas - Automatic Pilot - 60,000 BTU # FR98SR (which burst :( during cold weather) with a new, same model water heater. I know the connections are OK, since it is straightforward. Every time that I try to turn the switch ON, the 10 amp fuse blows. Any suggestions on what could be wrong? what to look for? Appreciate your help.

@MR If the fuse is blowing every time I'd check the voltage you're getting to the unit with a multimeter # PT89ZR. It sounds like you could potentially be connecting to 120v instead of 12v. I would also check your ground to make sure it's properly connected and running to frame. Let me know what you find and we can keep troubleshooting from there.
