Adapter For Roadmaster Base Plates on Chevy Spark to Blue Ox Tow Bar & Replacement Arms

Question:

I’m looking at a 2017 Chevy spark that has a roadmaster baseplate. It doesn’t have the arms that go in the holes. I have a blue ox tow bar. Is there a adapter bar that would work with my tow bar???? Also car is 4 hours away and the salesman is clueless. Is the bar by the brake pedal part of a brake system. Where would the brake system be installed on a Chevy spark? I’m new to all this. If that was close I could figure it out though. It’s amazing how little car dealers know about cars. Lol

Thanks for the photo, and we can help you out here, so let's start quickly with replacement arms for the Roadmaster base plates # RM-523185-5 that fits your 2017 Chevy Spark, for which you'll need the following part:

- Roadmaster Replacement Arms for Base Plate Kits # RM-ARMS

You'll click on the "Installation Details" on the product page and for part number use "523185-5" and you'll get the direct-connect arms. With those arms, there is an adapter that will allow you to use your Blue Ox tow bar:

- Roadmaster Adapter Kit for Blue Ox Motorhome Mounted Tow Bars # RO64FR

This will allow you to easily connect your Blue Ox tow bar right to the direct-connect arms for your '17 Chevy Spark so you won't need an entirely new tow bar.

In regards to the supplemental braking system, yes, the bar will be by the brake pedal for a portable braking system.
