Recommended 7-way Connector and Trailer Brake Controller For 2020 Nissan Pathfinder
Question:
I recently bought and installed a hitch and wiring kit from e-Trailer for my 2020 Nissan Pathfinder SV 4-pin wiring. Everything went great! However, now Im upgrading to a camper that uses a 7-pin connection and I will also need to incorporate electric braking with this. What parts to do I need to enable all the functionality needed? Does this 7-way wiring harness include the brake signaling needed to engage the trailer brakes, or do I need to buy another part, such as a brake controller. My SV did not come with a hitch obviously but did have the factory wiring needed to install the 4-pin setup. How do I know if my car is equipped with a tow package? I bought it used from CarMax.

The T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness for Factory Tow Package - 7-Way Trailer Connector # 118273 will give you the 7-wayconnector you need for your camper with trailer brakes, and is confirmed to fit all models of the 2020 Nissan Pathfinder so you do not need to be worried if it will fit or not. However you can confirm if your vehicle has the tow package by calling your local Nissan dealer with your VIN. They will be able to tell you every option your vehicle has with that.
Now this is only the connector, you will still need a trailer brake controller to control the brakes.
For a trailer brake controller I recommend the Curt Echo Wireless # C51180 as it will plug into the 7-way connector and will not require you to drill any holes to mount a traditional controller to the dash of your vehicle so you can keep the interior untouched.
