Distance Between Mounting Holes on Pollak 7-Pole and 4-Pole Connector Socket with Bracket # HM40975
Question:
i have a 2004 chevy trailblazer ext with factory-installed tow hitch and 7-pin plug. im wondering what the distance is between the two mounting holes that i need to drill to mount the bracket for #HM40975 ?? would you also happen to know what size holes need to be drilled ?? the OEM bracket for the 7-pin plug is currently in the location where i need to mount #HM40975. the way the factory-installed hitch is configured, along with the positioning of the undercarriage spare tire, i dont have alot of options/locations in which to mount the bracket for #HM40975. so before i order #HM40975 and grind off the OEM bracket, i need to be SURE ill have ample room for the new bracket !! i currently use my trailblazer to tow a boat trailer with a 4-pin, flat plug. the adapter i have to use between the OEM 7-pin and the 4-pin flat is a pain in the -. im hoping the hole spacing will work on my trailer hitch. it will make my towing life MUCH EASIER, way more CONVENIENT !!! thank you very much for taking the time to answer my questions. best regards,

The distance between the mounting holes on the Pollak 7- and 4-Pole Trailer Connector Socket with Mounting Bracket, # HM40975, measures 2 inches to 2-3/4 inches. I have attached a picture to illustrate these measurements.
Two, 5/16 inch self tapping screws are included to mount the bracket. If you would still like to predrill the holes, I recommend using a 1/4 inch drill bit.
