Should More Weight be Put on Front Axle of Truck Towing Fifth Wheel

Question:

Ok here is my question, with the current hitch as far forward as it or the mounts will allow, I have 3700 lbs of pin weight, but only transfer 75 lbs to the front axle, 2005 ram 2500 4or 4 doir short bed. Is there way to transfer about 4 to 5 hundred lbs to the front axle? Yes it is the BandW turn over ball mounted according to there instructions.

Is there a reason you want more of the pin weight on the front axle of your truck? The jaw of the hitch is normally placed right above the rear axle so that it is the axle the takes on the pin weight. With the Companion part # BWRVK3500 I'd recommend just leaving it as-is and not try to move any weight forward. The truck was designed to tow fifth wheel trailers with the weight carried like this.
