Tire Pressure Monitoring System With Bluetooth For Long Gooseneck Trailer
Question:
I have a new 2020 ram 5500 dually already has tires monitored and pull a 32’ gooseneck trailer tandem dually with 12,000 lb axles. I haul my landscape trees and regularly tow 15k of cargo. Ram has multiple aux inside so I did not know if one of your systems could go thru that and how it could show on a screen. Other than that the screen has apple car play so if the TPMS has Bluetooth then app on my phone would show on screen. Trailer has 8 tires plus a spare. Which system or combo do you recommend for my application.

There is one tire pressure monitoring system I really like over the rest, which is from TireMinder; the reason I like this system is because it is easy to use, compatible with Bluetooth, and best of all, highly accurate, with a margin of error of just 3 percent, So for example, since you have a mighty big gooseneck trailer, let's say your tires are inflated to 130 psi; if you inflated them fully, this system will be accurate within 3 or so psi, which is very precise for these types of systems.
Since you have 8 tires, you will need the system as well as four additional tire sensors, which you can get with the following:
- TireMinder Smart TPMS for RVs - Signal Booster - 4 Tire Sensors # TPMS-APP-4
- Brass Tire Sensors for TireMinder TPMS # TM-2Brass (these come in a package of two sensors, so you will need a quantity of two)
The Smart TPMS also reads tire pressures up to 232 psi so it will work even for the large tires on your trailer, and the signal will work up to 120 feet, so there won't be any issue with the signal on your 32 foot gooseneck. I have added links below to some video reviews for you to check out as well if you'd like to take a look.
