Thanks for the picture!

Based on the color of the wiring used on the light your red wire should be the turn signal and brake light wire, the black wire should be the running light wire, and the white wire should be the ground.

You can confirm this by using a circuit tester like # PTW2993 to test the wires while a friend turns on the running lights, and hits the brakes and turn signals.

Now since wire nuts were used, it is possible that the connections are not secure as they can come loose. I recommend testing the trailer light wiring to make sure power is making it through the connections.

If you find there is no power making it past the connections then I recommend replacing the wire nuts with heat shrink butt connectors # DW05745-5 which will give you a much better, and more secure connection.

If the light is getting power and still not working then you will need to replace the light. If you can send me a picture of the lights and the dimensions I would be happy to recommend a replacement for you.

Thanks for the dimensions and the picture! To replace your lights I recommend the Command Electronics LED Trailer Tail Light # 328-003-81LM1 for the driver side and # 328-003-81M1 for the passenger side. These lights measure 8-11/16" long x 3-7/8" tall x 2" deep and have mounting holes that are 7-3/16" x 2-9/16 as you can see in the included diagrams. This will allow you to reuse your current mounting holes, and be an exact replacement. I included a few videos of the lights mentioned for you to take a look at.
