How To Add a 4-Way To An RV with 7-Way Trailer Connector
Question:
I want to pair this plug with a 2005 Tiffin Phaeton - freightliner chasse. The existing plug is a Chrysler 56038366AB 7 way plug.

The best way to obtain both a 4 and 7-way trailer connector on an RV with factory 7-way is to replace it with the 7- and 4-Pole Trailer Connector Socket w/ Mounting Bracket part # HM40975. There will be no cutting or splicing involved with this method, simply unplug the pigtail with circular connector from the back of the existing connector and plus it back into the new connector once the bracket is secure.
There isn't anything like the Hopkins Plug-In Simple Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector for this application.
