All Nissan frontiers will have the tow package plug but may not be fully functional if the vehicle was not originally set up with tow package. All the connections must be complete for the T-Connector to function properly. You can test and verify the connector with a light tester like part # PTW2993.
Regardless of whether or not the vehicle has the tow package, we have a Plug-N-Tow Wiring harness, part # 33525, that plugs into the wiring for the vehicle tail lights.
You can also contact a Nissan Dealer with your VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) and they may be able to tell you if your Frontier had the factory tow package.
I have also included some instructions and wiring guides that my be useful.
