Does Brophy 4- and 5-Way Circuit Tester F5CT Emulate The Load Of A Trailer?
Question:
My trailer module activates only if the trailer lights consume 5 watts. Can you please let me know if this tester generates that load or less.

I have another option for you, but while Brophy did not have the exact wattage that the Brophy 4- and 5- Way Flat Circuit Tester # F5CT pulls, they did say it would be well under the 5 watts needed to activate the trailer wiring on your vehicle.
One option is the # 40376 which has an incandescent light and my contact at Tow Ready confirmed it will pull enough wattage to trick your vehicle into thinking the trailer is connected so you can get power to the connector.
Another option is if the trailer is at your house, then you can test the connector on your vehicle is by plugging it directly into your trailer. If needed you can use the # 40376 to test the wiring with the trailer connected to find out if you are getting power from the vehicle to the trailer.
If you have any issues with functions not working, just let me know and I would be happy to help you troubleshoot them.
I included a link to a helpful article on wiring for your to take a look at.
