Installing an Older Tekonsha Brake Controller in a 2020 Toyota Tacoma
Question:
I have a late 90s Prodigy Brake control it looks just like the P2 controller on your site. Did Tekonsha make an earlier version, a P1? Im looking to use this controller in my third vehicle! A 2020 Tacoma and need a interface cable. Looking for verification the 3031-P is what I need. Thanks

The original Tekonsha Prodigy, or P1, will be nearly identical to the Tekonsha Prodigy P2 # 90885. The only real difference is the color of the LED status lights. The P1 will have red LEDs and the P2 will have blue. I can also verify that the plug in the back of the controller is the exact same one they use on all their controllers. The # 3031-P will definitely mate your controller to your 2020 Toyota Tacoma without any issue.
