Recommended Helper Spring Solution for 2014 Chevy Suburban

Question:

I have a 2014 Suburban 1500, 4w drive. I bought a 33ft travel trailer with a GVWR of 8800 lb. approx. I also bought a load leveling trailer hitch. What can I do to improve the weight carrying ability on my rear suspension and reduce sway?

Although the Timbren # TGMRYS4 would work for you, I'm not certain you'd be happy with the ride quality you'll experience once the suspension of your Suburban compresses and the preload is taken up which is when the helper springs come into play. The Timbrens offer up to 6000 of additional support which is way more than you'll need to offset the tongue weight of your travel trailer.

The SumoSprings # SSR-204-40 add 1000 lbs of additional support, and they're made of a more pliable material for better ride quality when you're not towing. They'll get progressively more stiff as they compress and will support heavy rear loads to keep your vehicle level, they will help to absorb bumps and shocks as well as minimizing sway and body roll when cornering.
