You need to ensure that the camper shell on your 2018 Ford F-150 has the necessary weight capacity to support the tent and occupants, though in regards to the rack itself, yes, the Rhino-Rack Heavy-Duty Bar Roof Rack for Camper Shells - Track Mount # Y01-140B can support a rooftop tent.

Having said that, this rack uses HD bars, and I'm not aware of any rooftop tents that mount to the large, 1-5/8" wide x 1-7/8" tall Rhino-Rack HD crossbars, so I recommend a different option instead:

- Rhino-Rack Aero Bar Roof Rack for Camper Shells - Track Mount # Y02-490B

This has the same capacity that allows it to support a rooftop tent, but it uses standard sized 3-1/2" wide x 1-1/2" tall aero bars for a tent to mount on. I have added links below to the installation instructions of these racks for you to check out as well if you'd like to take a look.

I spoke with my contact at Rhino Rack and he informed me that the Rhino-Rack Roof Rack System w/ 2 Heavy-Duty Square Crossbars #Y01-140B that you referenced would add about 4-1/2 inches to the roof of the vehicle it would be installed on.
