What is the Highest Capacity and Highest Speed Rated 12 Inch Wheels With Good Corrosion Resistance
Question:
I have a 2001 double want runner trailer I bought used. Im using it to carry two 2006 Seadoo GTX wave runners. They are approximately 1000lbs each filled with fuel, so total is 2000lbs plus trailer. This is a one axle torsion style trailer with 5.30 x 12 tires with 5 on 4 1/2 bolt pattern. Can you recommend a tire with wheel combination that would be good for multi-hour 80mph hwy towing, but not lose all compliance and too stiff? Thanks! Adam

I suggest going with the Kenda Karrier S-Trail ST145/R12 Radial Tire w/ 12" Galvanized Spoke Wheel - 5 on 4-1/2 - LR D # AM31202 as it has a speed rating of 81 mph and a weight capacity of 1,220 pounds at 65 psi. The galvanized wheel will be corrosion resistant, and the radial tire will stay cooler while driving on the road, so will extend the life of the tire.
