The Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate Kit # RM37VR will reuse the manufacturer hardware on your 2021 Chevrolet Colorado 4WD with neutral Transfer case. It does not require you to cut or grind on the frame like the Demco and etrailer options. This is why I recommend the Roadmaster over the others.

You will want to measure the height of your current tow hooks and compare that with the motorhome's trailer hitch receiver height. I always recommend doing this ahead of time so that when you're ready to tow you know you have everything you need. The heights should be within 3" of each other otherwise you will need to get a corresponding High Low Adapter for Tow Bars similar to # RM-058-4.

For tow bars I recommend the Roadmaster Nighthawk # RM-676. They allow your to direct connect to the base plate without the need of the crossbar. These will come prewired with 7-way motorhome and 6-way vehicle plugs. To go with this you will want the Towing Combo Kit # RM-9284-2. This kit also includes the wiring for your lighting as we do not have a vehicle specific kit for your Colorado.

I recommend the Roadmaster Automatic Battery Disconnect with Switch # RM-766. It will disconnect the power rather than removing the battery terminal when towing. On your Colorado the radio presets and settings will not be lost as the newer models have a memory feature that won't clear when the battery is disconnected. The Roadmaster Battery Charge Line Kit # RM-156-25 will ensure that your battery is fully charged when towing and not be drained by the additional braking system that you will need.

For your Colorado the Stay-IN-Play DUO # SM99251 will be what I recommend. This system is in my opinion the best for supplemental braking as it is one of the few systems that looks for both brake light activation and the inertia caused by using the brakes in the motorhome. Which means no false braking because you are coasting down a hill or letting the vehicles weight slow you down. It is also a one time setup so the only thing you will need to do to use the system is flip a switch once it is ready to tow.
