How To Eliminate Sway When Towing 34 Toy Hauler With 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 1500
Question:
I tow a 34 ft toy hauler I have load revelers and a swaybar on my 2016 chevy Silverado 1500. Tows ok but when I have my harley in back I get some sway if to much tongue weight and also if I take to much off. When I have my dirt bike in there and full tank of water that is located up front almost no sway . Tryed out water in while towing harley it did ok but still wasnt happy. It seems when I have camper hooked to truck . Truck looks like its low in back but acts like it needs more tongue weight. Hope this makes sense any advice would be great.

It is pretty common for toy haulers to have sway issues since depending where you load your Harley it may actually reduce the tongue weight of the trailer. I recommend trying to load your Harley directly above or slightly in front of the axles of the trailer.
If that doesn't work the best option would be a weight distribution hitch with built in sway control like the Blue Ox SwayPro Weight Distribution w/ Sway Control - Clamp On - 10,000 lbs GTW, 1,000 lbs TW # BLU66FR, but to determine which weight distribution hitch will work for your trailer you will need to know the total tongue weight of your trailer.
Total tongue weight is the tongue weight of your fully loaded and ready to tow trailer plus the weight of any cargo behind the rear axle of your 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. The easiest way to get an accurate tongue weight measurement is with a tongue weight scale like the # etrailer # e99044, but there are other methods outlined in the included help article.
The # BLU66FR is designed to work with total tongue weights ranging from 750-1000lbs so if your total tongue weight falls in this range this would be a great option. You will need a 2" hitch ball # A-90 or 2-5/16" hitch ball # 19286 to match the coupler on your trailer.
If you find your total tongue weight is over 1000lbs an option like the Blue Ox TrackPro Weight Distribution w/ Sway Control - 7-Hole Shank - 13K GTW, 1.3K TW # BLU27FR which works with total tongue weights ranging from 1000-1300lbs would be your best option.
I included videos for the products mentioned for you to take a look at.
