Can Anti-Rattle Hitch Pin Be Used With MaxxTow Adjustable-Height Ball Mount # MT70068
Question:
I need a 6 rise to pull my tear with my Subaru Outback but still need a 2 for another trailer. I have been looking at adjustable ball mounts from Reese and Maxxtow like the MT70068. I am reading a lot of complaints online about the single pin adjustable mounts, that the adjustable parts rocks and can be noisy. Is there a way quiet those with something like the 63232 anti-rattle hitch pin?

The MaxxTow Adjustable-Height Ball Mount - 2" Hitch - 7-1/2" Drop, 6-1/4" Rise - 5,000 lb # MT70068 would be a perfect option for your Subaru Outback towing a trailer that needs 6" rise, and another trailer that needs 2" rise as the rise is adjustable between 6-1/4" to 1-3/4".
Since adjustable shank uses the standard 5/8" pin and is hollow you can absolutely use the Anti-Rattle Trailer Hitch Receiver Lock for 2" Hitches - 2-5/8" Span # 63232 you were looking at to get rid of any rattling.
Lastly you will need a hitch ball to go with the # MT70068 of which I recommend the 1-7/8" # C40002, or 2" hitch ball # 63845 to match the couplers on your trailers.
I included videos of the products mentioned for you to take a look at.
