Recommendation Weight Distribution with 2019 Toyota
Question:
Howdy, I am looking at Curt RV Weight Distribution Systems to pull my camper. I have a 2019 Toyota Limited with a hitch and electric. I am pulling a 2016/17 Coachmen Clipper using a Reese sway bar system. This was all given to me and the Reese system needs to be replaced. What do you recommend? The trailer dry weight is 2866 lbs. What might you recomend?

We should verify that any recommendation made here against your specific model; but I expect the below recommendations to work with RAV4 to Tacoma or 4Runner. From the specs available to me online it appears there are several models using the Clipper name, please check tongue weight for specific model against what I recommend here and consider your cargo load as well.
I like the Fastway e2 # FA92-00-0450 for your application, even loaded your trailer will not be tremendously more than 3,500 lbs. and this is rated to 4,500 lbs with a tongue weight of up to 450 lbs. It is a straight forward basic setup and matches very well with a lighter camper. This is a no-drill, clamp-on type; these brackets can be adjusted along the trailer frame to accommodate frame-mounted items such as battery boxes, generators or bike racks. This is one of the most cost effective options available and highly rated with 4.8 stars out of almost 400 customer reviews.
If after reviewing the specs for your tow vehicle and camper you need something more than first recommendation, I suggest # FA92-00-0800. This is the next step up from Fastway to the item listed above. This is rated for a GTW from 400-800 lbs. and for trailers up to a gross weight of 8,000lbs. For the installation it is best to have thin walled 1-7/8" socket available. We have this available with # ALL643216.
