Recommended Flat Towing Setup For 2021 Jeep Wrangler That Uses Car Mounted Tow Bar

Hi, We are needing the items necessary to tow a 2021 Jeep Wrangler behind an Airstream Atlas. Our preference would be for the tow bar to flip down from the base plate onto to ball hitch on the Atlas. And then for the tow bar to be removable from the base plate when we are not rv’ing and using the Jeep at home so the tow bar isn’t folded up in front of the Jeep grill. Thanks

I would be happy to recommend everything you will need to flat tow your 2021 Jeep Wrangler behind your Airstream Atlas with a vehicle mount tow bar.
Starting with the base plate kit I recommend the Roadmaster Crossbar-Style Base Plate Kit - Removable Arms # RM-521453-4 which will fit your Jeep as long as you have the factory steel or plastic front bumper. This base plate kit will pair up perfectly with the Roadmaster StowMaster Tow Bar - Car Mount - 2" Ball - 6,000 lbs # RM-501 which will mount to the hitch ball on your tow vehicle, and can be removed from your Jeep by removing the quick disconnect pins.
Next you will need safety cables of which I recommend the RoadMaster 68" Single Hook, Coiled Safety Cables - 6,000 lbs # RM-643.
Moving on to wiring I recommend the Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit # RM-15267 which will add a 6-way connector to the front of your Jeep, and the included 6-way to 7-way cord will connect to the 7-way connector on your tow vehicle to power the vehicle lights while be flat towed. The included diodes will protect your factory wiring from any damage or feedback.
Lastly for a supplemental braking system I recommend the Blue Ox Patriot # BLU37TR due to it being very easy to install, and since it is completely removed when you are done flat towing it can be used in multiple vehicles if needed. You will also need the 12v Outlet Kit # RM-9332.
Since you are using a vehicle mounted tow bar you will to make the tow bar is completely level to your tow vehicle. You can level your tow bar by using a high-low adapter so I have included a link to a helpful article that goes over how to measure for the correct adapter, and a link to all of our high-low adapters for you to take a look at.
It is always a good idea to check the recreational towing section of your vehicles owner's manual for any flat towing restrictions or for any special steps to make your vehicle ready to be flat towed.
