Comparing the Different Firestone Ride-Rite Air Springs Kits F2525 and F2582
Question:
Hi what is the difference between the ride rite 2525 vs 2582? Online it says the the 2525 is for 2009-2014 F-150 and 2582 is for 2015-2021 F-150 . I have a 2013 F-150, So can I make the 2582 work on my 2013 F150? When looking at the brackets online, they look identical except the 2582 has 4 holes at the air inlet location instead of 2 holes with the 2525. Thank you

The correct kit for your 2013 Ford F-150 is the Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs # F2525. These kits are custom-fit for your truck and the main area of customization is the frame bracket. The bracket that mounts to the inside of your frame is shaped to fit around it and has custom-fit holes. That's what gives this kit its "no-drill" install.
The frame bracket on the # F2525 has slightly larger edges and a little tab that is angled around your frame. The other frame brackets # F2582 have shorter edges and no tab which is what makes it a fit for the frames on 2015-2021 F-150s. Everything else is similar, but when you get a custom-fit system, you want to make sure you get the best fit for your vehicle.
As an extra tip, I highly recommend picking up extra cable ties # DW05727-10. While installing these the other day at etrailer, we used up all our cable ties while routing the air lines through the frame. All the necessary mounting hardware is included in the kit, but sometimes you need those extra cable ties for extra security.
