Placement of Bed Rails to Install Valley Fifth Wheel Hitch on 2008 GMC Sierra

I bought a used 5th wheel trailer and they gave me the hitch and rails a valley # 7053 what position do i put the rails in a 6 1/2 ft box on a 2008 gmc serria 2500 hd diesel

To install the hitch in the bed of your short bed 2008 GMC Sierra, you will need a fifth wheel installation kit like part # RP50064-58. The kit includes the frame brackets, base rails and hardware. Unfortunately Valley has gone out of business, so frame brackets are not available to install your base rails. Also, fifth wheel hitch manufacturers do not recommend mixing brands with base rails and frame brackets.
The placement of the bed rails is shown in the installation instructions, which I will send to you in a separate email.
For your short bed truck, make sure your hitch has a slider in order to provide proper clearance between the truck cab and the front of the fifth wheel trailer.
