Air Helper Spring Suspension Recommendation for 2017 Ford F250 2WD

Question:

Looking to add air bags to 2017 Ford F250 2WD. It already has a BandW Turnoverball Underbed Gooseneck Trailer Hitch. I dont need a compressor - am happy to just have manual valves at back bumper. What are the choices that work best? I see several choices on your site. Why would I need internal jounce bumpers? Do the existing ones stay in place? Thanks!

The primary purpose of the internal jounce bumpers of the Air Lift # AL88391 LoadLifter Ultimate Air helper springs is to provide a failsafe if the system develops a leak and you lose pressure while you're towing or hauling. This is pretty important, because the factory jounce bumpers are removed to install the air helper springs. If under a heavy load, and the system loses pressure it's possible that the suspension could bottom out which is harmful for the air bags as well as the vehicle.

The price differential between the # AL88391 and the # AL57391 isn't huge, so you'd be better off going with the # AL88391 ultimate system for the extra peace of mind offered by the internal jounce bumpers.

Either system is compatible with in-bed gooseneck or 5th wheel hitches. I've linked to a product video that you might find helpful.
