The manufacturers supplied data for the Draw-Tite # 41544 hitch does not show any information regarding its use with a camper tie down system. Some tie downs for slide-in campers attach directly to a specialized truck hitch, but not in this case. Other tie downs attach to the truck frame, to the trucks factory installed hitch, or stake pockets.

For your 2005 Chevy 2500 HD with aftermarket hitch, Extended Cab, and 8' bed you can use the Brophy # TDSF Stake Pocket Camper Tie Downs. Kit includes heavy duty, powder coated steel anchor points and all hardware necessary to mount anchors.

Another choice is Happijac # LC182906-182971 tie down system which is nearly hidden when not in use.

Both of these choices will work with all styles of running boards. When you have installed a tie down system and can measure between the anchors and your camper connection points I can let you know which turnbuckles will work best for your installation. Something like Happijac # LC182898 turnbuckles.

There is also a third choice: The TorkLIft # TLC2204 and # TLR3501, but it will require an aftermarket hitch that has enough room to mount the tie downs on the side of it. (Order both parts)
