Suspension Enhancement Options For 1999 Toyota 4Runner

Question:

I have a 1999 Toyota 4Runner SR5 Highlander SP. Im thinking of adding airbags or Timbren... wondering if there is anything special needed considering my particular model has a Factory lift. Thanks.

I do have some Firestone Coil-Rite Air Helper Springs # F4135 for your rear axle. If your springs have lost some compression and your rear end feels sloppy, these will help tighten up the back suspension to help especially if you have a trailer connected to your 1999 Toyota 4Runner. If you're bottoming out when hitting bumps/dips in the trails you will want to get the Timbren Active Off-Road Bumpstops # TABSTOR4R for the rear. This will only make a difference if your suspension is being compressed a little too much in certain situations. It will not affect your ride quality on the road like the Air Helper Springs, just prevent over travel.

Both of those were for the back suspension. If you're having issues with the front we have a bump stop option # TTOFTAC4A available. These will all work with the factory lift kit and the bump stop options will not activate as quickly compared to a non lifted 4Runner. I would recommend adding this spacer # TA25723-90AD00 if you plan on going with the bump stop option on the front or the rear.
