Trailer Hitch Receiver for 2017 Mazda 3 Sedan and Correct Ball Mount
Question:
Hello for a mazda 3 2017 sedan can I install the Code: 24914 draw-tite class 1 because I prefer its appearance to that Code: 24912 and what is the normal drawbar number for my mazda 3 2017 sedan Thank you.

Expert Reply:
Since your 2017 Mazda 3 is a sedan, the trailer hitch receiver that fits is the Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Receiver # 24912; the other hitch you mentioned is not a fit for the hatchback, which I confirmed with Draw-Tite for you. The hatchback and sedan have different bolt hole alignments which is why there are two different hitches depending on the model.
We do have the rest of the parts needed for you to do some light towing with your '17 Mazda 3 sedan, and to make it easier to order, I'll go ahead and list them out for you.
- Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Receiver # 24912
- T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118405
- Draw-Tite Drawbar # 3593
- 2" Hitch Ball # 19258 or 1-7/8" Hitch Ball # 19256
I have also added some links below to video reviews for you to check out as well if you'd like.
