Charge Line Kit for 2016 Ram 1500 Being Flat Towed Behind Motorhome

Question:

I currently flat tow a 2016 ram behind a motorhome. I have a 4 diode wiring arrangement and use a 7 pin to 4 pin blue ox cable. My aux braking system is an Air Force One. On a couple of occasions I have flat towed over 600 miles over a two day period without disconnecting or starting the Ram. On these three occasions the battery in the Ram is dead. I’ve considered pulling the fuse on the adjustable pedals to eliminate the possibility the brake pedal is being applied more often than they should due to the pedals being adjusted fully to the rear. Unfortunately the owners manual for the Ram has mistakenly mislabeled the location of the power adjustable pedals. So now I’m considering converting from a 7 to 4 pin cable to a 7 to 6 pin and installed a charge line from the 6 pin to connector to the battery. My question is what other changes will I need to make more diodes? to successfully make this conversion.

We have the Roadmaster Charge Line Kit part # RM-156-25 which was designed to provide a charge circuit from the motorhome to the battery of the tow vehicle like what you have. No other components like diodes would be needed.
