Recommended Rubber Strips And Bike Racks For Rhino-Rack Vortex Aero Crossbars on 2017 Honda Odyssey

I bought a Rhino roof rack system with aero bars from you for my 2017 Odyssey with no roof hardware. Had it professionally installed. Two questions. 1 It’s very noisy at anything over about 45-50 mph. Whistling seems to come mostly from right front. Was my system supposed to have covers for the channels to reduce that? Anything else I can do? Two, Can you tell Me what bike carriers are compatible with my system? Thank you.

Thank you for purchasing your Rhino-Rack Roof Rack System for your 2017 Honda Odyssey from us!

The Rhino-Rack Vortex Aero Crossbars # RRVA126B-2 you purchased should have come with Vortex Strips to help prevent wind noise. If you need a replacement or additional strips you can use # RRM626.

For a bike rack that will work with your crossbars I recommend the Yakima HighRoad Roof Bike Rack # Y02114 due to it allowing you to keep the front wheel installed on the bike.

A few other options that will work with your crossbars are the Thule ProRide XT Roof Bike Rack # TH598004, and the Rhino-Rack MountainTrail Rooftop Bike Carrier # RBC035.

Yes you can remove the lock cores of your old Thule roof rack and use them in your new one. All you need to do is have the lock cores in the unlocked position and then insert the change key part #853-1251 and they will release from the rack so that…
