Rubber Strip to Fit the Channel on the Rhino-Rack Vortex Aero Crossbars

Question:

I have a set of rhino-rack Vortex cross bars. The rubber s that came with them are quite stiff and every time I carry my kayaks the rubber s push down into the bar and I get whistling. Do you carry a product that is one piece that would replace the current rubber strips and wouldnt get shoved down into the crossbars?

The only thing that we have which has been tested to fit in the Rhino-Rack Vortex Aero Bars, like part # RRVA137B-2, is the Replacement Vortex Strip for Rhino-Rack Vortex Aero Crossbars # RRM626. This strip is 15-3/4 inches long and was created to fit right into the channel on the Vortex bars.

This could have happened from the strips possibly getting too much UV exposure. Leaving the crossbars on your vehicle for long periods of time can take its toll on equipment. This could also be the result of your kayak being too heavy. You will want to make sure that you are within the weight limits of your roof rack system and the actual weight capacity of your vehicle's roof.
