Expert Reply:
Curt trailer hitch # C11124 for the 2011 Kia Forte Hatchback has a capacity of 2,000 pounds but you will need to determine the towing capacity of the vehicle by checking in the owners manual. If the combined weight of the trailer and trike when loaded and ready to tow exceeds 2,000 pounds or the capacity of the vehicle, whichever is lower, you will not be able to tow the bike and trailer with this vehicle.
If you determine that you can, you will also need a properly sized ball (the hitch comes with a ball mount, pin, and clip). For a 1-7/8 inch ball use # 19256 and for a 2 inch ball use # 19258. For trailer lights for a hatchback use # C56175.
If you have a sedan then the correct Curt hitch is # 11434. The same balls listed above will fit. For trailer wiring for the sedan use # 118415. I have linked instructions for the hitches and wiring for you.
