Tow Dolly for 2019 Hyundai Ioniq
Question:
I have a 2019 Hyundai Ioniq that I want to tow with a tow dolly behind my motorhome. The question is, do I tow the car in park or neutral. Obviously, no parking break. The steering wheel is not capable of locking. Will I be okay with this type of towing.

According to the owner's manual I looked up online of a 2019 Hyundai Ioniq, when towing the vehicle, it should be in neutral, but that is for emergency towing. All of our information on towing comes from owner's manuals and there was no definitive word on recreational towing so to be certain this won't harm your Ioniq I strongly recommend contacting Hyundai.
If it is allowed, you will want to use a tow dolly from Demco:
- Demco Kar Kaddy SS Tow Dolly # DM9713045
- Demco Kar Kaddy X Tow Dolly # DM9713093
These are by far the best option because because of how simple they are to use than other tow dollies. The Kar Kaddy X tilts down and the Kar Kaddy SS has a ramp so you can simply drive up the dolly and secure your car on it. The SS ramps also fold up and it has a stow-away tongue which makes it the easiest dolly to store.
