Replacement Trailer Brake Controller for 2006 Ford F-350
Question:
On my 2006 f350 the integrated tbc faults when I step on the gas.

It sounds like the internal inertia sensor is not working correctly. Hitting the gas pedal should definitely not cause a fault with a trailer brake controller that is functioning correctly. For your 2006 Ford F-350 I recommend the Tekonsha Primus IQ # TK90160 along with the wiring harness # 3065-P.
If you don't want to add another controller to your cab, you can instead use the Curt Echo Wireless Trailer Brake Controller - 1 to 2 Axles - Proportional # C51180. This utilizes a mobile app for settings and manual override features.
