2020 Chevy 2500 4x4 Air Springs and Over-Under Kit For Trailer Lift

Question:

Please look at the attached picture. The truck squats with the 5th wheel on it. The 5th wheel is not level and I cant lower the front any more due to clearance issues. Its 2 1/2inch out with the truck squatting. The truck already has a very stiff ride. I dont want to make it any worse but it looks like it should be raised?

Lifting your trailer is my first recommendation and then adding suspension enhancement to your truck is also recommended.

To lift your trailer, I recommend using the Dexter Trailer Springs Over-Under Conversion Kit # K71-384-00 if your trailer axle is 2-3/8 inch diameter and # K71-385-00 if your axle has a 3 inch diameter. You will want one kit for each axle. This will lift your trailer by the diameter of your axle as well as the height of your leaf spring stack.

Then for your 2020 Chevy 2500, I recommend the Firestone Ride-Rite Red Label Extreme Duty Air Helper Springs - Rear Axle # F2709. This is adjustable to your preferred ride so it will allow you height adjustment for level transport as well as comfort. This allows adjustment when towing but also allows you comfort adjustment when not loaded. I recommend using a compressor like the Air Lift Load Controller Compressor System for Air Helper Springs - Standard Duty - Dual Path # AL25852 to give you adjustability at your fingertips.
