Recommended 7-Way Trailer Connector for 1997 Ford F-150 Flareside Without Factory Plug

I have a’97 Ford F-150 flareside w/o a factory plug. What P/N plug do I need to buy to get a 7-way trailer plug on the back of my truck??

For your 1997 Ford F-150 Flareside, the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # 118344 is where you start and directly connects to the factory wiring behind your tail lights. Then you will use the Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller - 7-Way RV and 4-Way Flat - 10 Gauge Wires # ETBC7 to get the 7-way adapter and wiring to give you the 12v power and brake controller functions.
This will allow you to add the brake controller of your choosing for full 7-way use. My recommendation is the Redarc Tow-Pro Elite Trailer Brake Controller - 1 to 3 Axles - Proportional # RED44FR which has a clean look and great functions. I've linked a video of these products to assist.
