How Heavy is the Curt Hitch for 2015 Nissan Xterra?
Question:
What is the actual weight of the hitch itself? I have a 2015 Nissan xterra. I will be using the hitch for a bike rack that may hold up to 4 bicycles. Thanks

The Curt Hitch # 13514 is a great hitch for carrying bikes! The actual weight of the hitch itself is 28 lbs. Its shipping weight (with the box and the packaging) is 33 lbs. It has a tongue weight of 400 lbs which is more than enough for your bikes. I attached the install video if you want to check out how easy it is to install.
If you're still looking for some 4-bike racks, I have some recommendations. For a platform-style rack, which I prefer since it's easier to mount/dismount bikes on, I like the Swagman Quad 2+2 # S64FR. It works great at carrying your four bikes securely, but my favorite part is its 2+2 functionality. You can quickly attach or detach the 2-bike extension for when you want to go on solo or duo bike trips.
If you want a hanging-style rack, I like the Yakima BackRoad # YA44FR. I attached my video review of the BackRoad on another SUV and you can see how it comes with an integrated bike lock and how it tilts away if you want to open your hatch. It's a great sturdy bike rack which goes well with taking your Xterra out on awesome off-road adventures.
