V-Bar Icebreakers
The V-shaped studs (also known as icebreakers, spikes, or cleats) that are built into these twist-link tire chains bite into ice, providing superior grip for a safer ride on ice-covered roads.
Installation
1. Drape the chain over the tire, making sure that the V-bars are facing out.
2. Drive forward about 1/4 of a tire revolution. (You can also lay the chain out and then drive onto it.)
3. Fasten the ends of the chain together.
4. Use the cam tensioning devices that are built into the side chain to tighten. Do this by inserting the flat end of the included wrench into the slot on each cam and twisting it.
5. Drive forward a bit and tighten the chain as needed.
You can use rubber or chain adjusters (sold separately) to increase the tension on the chains for a tighter fit.

I do snow plowing with a 1 ton truck. These Titan Chains allow me to plow deep snow up grades and even when there is a thick layer of ice under the snow. The V grips really dig into the snow, ice and gravel. On paved and cement surfaces they will scar the surface, but under adverse conditions they get the job done!
I like the chains very much. Excellent design. Easy to install and with the cam tighteners they didn’t loosen up. I recently delivered lumber on an ice covered dirt road (very steep hill!) and never spun a wheel.
Rarely use chains but these work great. Got stuck in a snow storm in Flagstaff early March. There was about 18 inches of snow over rutted ice. While you do have to commit to putting these on and you will be wet and/or dirty, there will be no issue getting through. The cam system works great at achieving a good fit the first setting but the second setting leaves no question they're in place to stay. We have a RWD E350 with 285/75/R16's and drove by many 4x4 vehicles that couldn't get out of the rutted ice and compacted snow. The V bars really cut in for that extra traction. Can't recommend enough if you need that extra performance in extreme conditions.
I have used chains in the past without tightening cams and aways struggled with getting the chain tight enough.
These chains with the cams are a joy to use. The went on easily and tightened up with out a problem.
I used these chains with all weather tires and had no difficulties while plowing 18 inches of heavy wet snow. Prior to using the chains I was getting stuck in the same snow.

These are heavy duty as I hoped. Literally heavy, as each chain weighs 22 pounds. TC3829CAM fits on stock Jeep Gladiator tires.
I just received the chains. etrailer was very helpful over the phone helping me select chains that were right for my truck, and the right for the type of terrain I am going to use them on. Shipping was quick, I did 5-7 day and they moved it to 3-5 for free. The chains fit my truck really well. I have not tried them off the road yet, but they look very aggressive so not concerned. They are really east to install, took me less than 5 minutes and you can put them on without actually moving the truck. This is also a plus.

2 words, Heavy Duty. I haven't gotten to use them yet and hope I never will. But preparing for a hunt, I knew I better have some that fit my truck. I have had chains for all of my rigs before and no stranger to having to chain up. And these appear like they will not disappoint should I have to throw iron.
The tire chains look great and fit nicely. Only reason for not giving 5 stars is that no storage box is included.

Bought and installed on old 1978 Chevy 4x4 Camper Special for Montana winters. 4x4 needs added traction traveling off property in Kootenai Mountains. This old pick-up is used to get supplies and haul firewood. Chains were an enormous aid in Snow, Ice, and Mud that make traveling sometimes treacherous. These chains are superior to old ones; and truly seize the road. Love 4 Wheeling.
Granted, I have not actually tried these chains out on the snow/ice yet. I have put the chains on my tires to check for fit and to see how easy or difficult they would be when the time comes, and they fit great and went on very easily. With the cam system I was able to tighten the chains very snug to the tire and without the need of bungee cords, bc there was no slack in the chains. Chains look to be made from great material....exactly what I was needing!
The service was exceptional. ordered on Monday and the were delivered to Maine on Thursday. Very prompt. As far as fit, I can't tell you yet. I ordered the correct size for my tires, so I assume they are ok. I will try them on before it snows. I really like the way you track your product. I installed the chains and my truck to discover that they are at least three links too long. I have the correct size according to the bag they came in. So I guess I will saw off the additional links. These chains don't look as heavy as I hoped and they are made in China.
Great traction on compact snow and ice. I would not want to drive more than 10mph on gravel or concrete. Off road recommended.
Have not towed with it yet. However I will be using in next week towing a car dolly on a 3,000 mile round trip. Not a real test of this product because it's superbly built. Well worth the price.

Bought these for my 2014 Ram 2500. Product looks to be quality hardware. I only gave four stars as I have not road tested yet. I'm sure these chains will bite into any ice and snow without much effort. I will find out soon.
