B and W Release Pin Won't Budge

Question:

I bought a 1997 F250 with a B and W turnover ball, The ball is in the down position and the release pin wont budge, I've tried parking at different angels, up hill, down hill sprayed a ton of PB Blaster, I am now unbolting the middle part of the hitch so I can try and beat the pin out, The only thing I haven't tried is Diesel and fire. I have a friend getting ready to take his B and W hitch off of a Chevy will the middle part the hitch plate from his Chevy bolt into my ford with my mounting brackets Thanks and any other ideas you might have I would be interested in hearing them thanks

If using a lubricant does not help to release the hitch pin, you might have to loosen the bolts on the center section and remove it from the vehicle to get better access. Check the track the hitch pin moves on for any signs of dirt or corrosion. If there is, you can try cleaning the parts with a wire brush.

If you still can't get the turnover ball removed, you can switch out the center plate with a new one, such as # BWGNRC800. I would recommend this approach as there's no guarantee that your friend's center plate will fit your vehicle's mounting brackets.
