Troubleshooting Axle Over-Under Conversion on 2-3/4 Inch Diameter Axle
Question:
I have an older travel trailer with 2 3/4inch round underslung axle that I would like to convert to overslung to gain some height but I cannot find the right size kit. seems all that is available is 2 3/8inch or 3, neither of which will work. Any help is appreciated.

The standard 3,500-4400 lb axle is 2-3/8 inch diameter and would use the Dexter Trailer Springs Over-Under Conversion Kit # K71-384-00. The standard 5,200-7,000 lb axle has a 3 inch diameter and would use # K71-385-00 as you pointed out.
Unfortunately we don't have a kit for the 2-3/4 inch axle you have as it is not a standard size. We don't even have any weld on spring seats like # TRSS238 that work for that diameter.
You may want to consider creating something custom or replacing the axle with something compatible. I've linked the page to all the options if you want to consider them and some even have an integrated lift spindle or replace all the suspension as well with an axle-less option.
