Replacement Hand Winch Handle for my 2,500 lb. Dock Winch

Question:

I have a dock hand winch, that someone stole the handle from. The winch says ALL Purpose 2500 lb, the hole for the bolt is very large, I was looking at several handles that may have a large hole. Like the model DL5144639 or any that had the larger hole size. I know it has to have the off-set style to bypass other bolts. Dont know about length size, doesnt seem to matter, have clearance. It is pulling straight up/down, since it is pulling a 5 in pole for securing the dock. The winch is welded to the dock, so handle is needed.

Most of the winches in the 2,500 lb. category are going to use the same type of handle. There are always exceptions but most use a common size.

For your situation I recommend the 9-1/2" Long Winch Offset Replacement Handle by Dutton-Lainson part # DL70327 this is the handle and the nut to attach it since I'm sure they weren't nice enough to leave that. The longer handle on this one will make adjustments much easier especially since you have no clearance issues to deal with.

As a second option since your first one disappeared you can use the Replacement Quick Attach Winch Handle for Dutton Lainson Winch part # DL70330. It is the same handle as above but offere a quick attach keeper on it that allows you to use it when you need it and put it somewhere safe when you don't.

They already have one (yours) and I don't know why they would need more than one but this second option would help you keep this from happening to you again. I've linked videos on both of these for you to check out.
