Firestone Air Bag System for 2017 GMC 3500 Towing Fifth Wheel with OEM Rail Kit

Question:

I have a 2017 GMC Sierra 3500 SRW Denali and I tow a 1500 lb. fifth wheel. The truck has the factory fifth wheel puck system. I want to add an air spring system to smooth out the ride, increase stability and safety. I have been researching your web site and a few others and I’m planning to get the Firestone F2613 Airbags. In an effort to spread out the cost I will add the compressor unit later. I’m planning on the firestone F2610 compressor with F2612 bracket. Since I only tow the fifth wheel and dont think I have to worry about balancing the load therefore, I think the single path system will be sufficient. Do you agree? Are the 5000 lb. shocks large enough for the 3500? When I initially install the F2613 do you recommend that I purchase the tee and just use one air fitting to fill both bags at the same time?

I would agree for sure that a single path air bag setup would be best for your 2017 GMC Sierra 3500. This gives you the single inflation point for the bags which will have equal pressure between them. So for that you'd want the tee part # F3025-1. The Firestone kit part # F2613 is the correct kit you'd need as it's a confirmed fit for your 2017 GMC Sierra 3500 with the OEM rail kit and would provide more than enough suspension support.

You will be later able to install the compressor kit part # F2610 with the bracket # F2612 as well easily.
