Is the Curt X5 5th Wheel Base Rails Adapter for Curt EZr Double Lock Offered with Offset
Question:
I have a 2005 GMC 2500HD long bed truck. I have a Curt EZr double lock gooseneck hitch installed on truck. Does Curt make an offset 16220 X5 adapter? Although my truck is a long bed, the gooseneck hitch is probably 4-5 inches in front of the axle. Im afraid the camper will hit the truck while turning or on unlevel ground. I dont know why the Curt gooseneck hitch is so far forward of the axle, its mounted per the directions.

The Curt X5 5th Wheel Base Rails Adapter part # C16210 is not offered with an offset. If you need additional turning clearance then it can be used with a sliding fifth wheel hitch like the Curt A16 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch part # C16521 which is what I recommend. That said, it is always best to measure the turning clearance before deciding whether or not a slider hitch is needed or you could get away with the Curt A16 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch part # C16120.
