Troubleshooting Hitch Lock on SportRack SR2415 and a 2017 Toyota Tacoma
Question:
I recently bought the SportRack Ridge Swing 4 Bike Rack SR2415. I am using it on a 2017 Toyota Tacoma Pickup with a 2inch receiver. I was told to buy the Anti-Rattle Hitch Lock for SportRack Bike Racks and Cargo Carriers Item # SR0901 for a hitch lock. I tried to install it, but it doesnt fit. The bolt seems to be about 1/4inch short. Even when i took off both washers, it still is a tiny bit short and wont lock. Do you have a different threaded trailer hitch lock that would work with my rack and truck?

The SportRack Ridge Swing 4 Bike Rack # SR2415 has the Anti-Rattle Hitch Lock for SportRack Bike Racks and Cargo Carriers - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches # SR0901 as you referenced as a related part. I have not heard about this not working on this rack before and that is the longest locking pin available for that rack, which makes me wonder if your trailer hitch receiver is uniquely wide. If so, you may want to consider using an adapter for the rack like Hitch Extender for 2" Trailer Hitches - 8" Long # e88YR which will work with that lock. Then you'd need a hitch lock like # 63232 or the longer # SHP2040-XL for that extension.
