Is There a Maximum Distance L-Brackets Can Extend With Reese Steadi-Flex Weight Distribution RP66558
Question:
My question is when measuring the distance for adjusting the height of the L-Bracket and trying to achieve the 4 inch of space below the L-bracket do you lift up on the spring bars to remove the looseness or allow it to hang freely when measuring? Also the instructions say that you should have at least 3 inch of spring bar extending over the L-bracket. Is there a maximum distance? I have approximately 5.5 inch of spring bar protruding over the L-bracket. Thanks

The Reese Steadi-Flex Weight Distribution System # RP66558 needs a minimum of three inches of spring bar extending past the L-bracket like you said, but there is no maximum; your distance is perfectly fine.
As for the space below the L-bracket, this should be the done with the spring bars hanging freely.
