Parts Needed to Add 7-Way to 2013 Toyota Highlander With 4-Way
Question:
I purchased a utility trailer, with electric trailer brakes which uses a round 7-pin connector. It worked great on our 2016 Toyota Tundra. How do I connect it to the flat 4-pin connector on the Toyota Highlander? The dealer said I could find a converter plug going from 7-pin trailer to 4-pin tow vehicle? Does eTrailer sell these?

By 7-round, I assume you mean 7-blade, and the answer depends on if you want to use your trailer's electric brakes or not.
If you do, what you will need to do is add a 7-way to your 2013 Toyota Highlander with the Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller # ETBC7.
This will give you a working 7-way and the parts needed to install and use a brake controller like the highly effective yet budget-friendly Brake EVN # TK63VR with Brake Control Harness # 20127.
Or, if you do not want to use the electric brakes and just want the functions of the 4-flat you simply need to add an adapter, the Adapter 4-Pole to 7-Pole # 37185.
I have added links to video reviews and installs for you to check out as well.
