Will Andersen Ultimate Connection 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch System be Easier to Hook Up Than Hitch
Question:
I own a 2019 Silverado Z71 truck, 5.3 engine .. When transferring the fifth wheel. I had a Husky16 K harness. My attachments from the bottom of the box no longer did. We had to install Reese bars. My harness is fixed and my truck is often hard to unhook from the harness and you have to back up very straight when connecting because the panel of my truck may break my trailer. An AM3200 clip would solve my problem. Any suggestions are welcome. I own a fith wells Cruiser Aire 2018 25RL. I changed my 2014 Silverado Z71 truck to another 2019 Silverado in the fall of 2019.

You are correct that backing up does need to be very straight when hooking up a 5th wheel trailer to a standard 5th wheel hitch. A solution to that would be to remove your standard hitch and instead use the Andersen Ultimate Connection 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch System with Adapter # AM3200.
This will not require you to be perfectly straight to attach to your trailer. You simply have to make sure your truck is at least 3" from center of the connection, as you can see by the cut out of the linked installation instructions.
I have added a link to a video review for you to check out as well.
