How Much Force does the Sway-Control Bracket like RP26003 Put on my Hitch it says no Weight Dist.
Question:
VW Atlas. How much stress is placed on hitch mount with a sway bar. Atlas cant accept load leveling account of hitch limitations. Wouldn’t a sway bar stress the hitch also?

When using the Reese Sway-Control Bracket for 2" Ball Mounts part # RP26003 and the Curt Friction Sway Control for Weight Distribution Systems part # 17200 together will be perfectly acceptable. It puts a slight side ways force on it but it will not have anywhere near the force we see with weight distribution systems. On average it will generate around 40 lbs. of sway control force and comes in very handy when camper get squirrely.
