How to Determine Which Replacement Brake Assemblies and Hub/Drums Are Needed
Question:
I was given a trailer which experienced a hub failure and am trying to figure out what parts I need in order to repair the trailer. Ive attached some pictures I have so far, but if there are other pictures I can provide, please let me know. Thanks, Brandon

I'll need to know the inner and outer wheel bearing reference numbers and wheel bolt pattern. With that information, I can recommend replacement bearings, seals, brake assemblies and hub/drums. You'll also want to carefully examine the spindle where the failure occurred to make sure it isn't damaged. If it is, you'll want to replace the spindle, if not the axle. Since you'll need welder experienced in working on trailer axles to weld the new spindle in place, many find it to be less of a hassle just to replace the axle.
We do offer some off-the-shelf replacement axles. To see if anything we offer would work, I'd need to know the hub face to hub face distance and the center to center spring seat dimension, as shown in the provided diagram.
