Anti-Rattle Hitch Pin Recommendation for a Yakima Bike Rack with a 2 Inch Shank

Question:

I need a Anti rattle hitch pin for a Yakima bike rack on a 2inch receiver. I bought one at the Store but its too small of diameter to thread, its 1/2. Do you make a 9/16inch size? Been having a heck of a time locating one and one with a lock woud be great!

You can use the Softride Locking, Anti-Rattle Hitch Pin, # SR25219, as long as the shank of your Yakima bike rack is hollow. The block will insert into the shank of the bike rack and the threaded pin will thread through and lock.

If your Yakima bike rack has a threaded insert in the shank, then it should have come with a threaded pin. If this is the case, then let me know the model of your bike rack and I can see if we have a replacement pin for your bike rack. If the threaded insert is removable, then you could remove the insert and replace it with the Softride device.

Most of our universal locking hitch pins for 2 inch receivers have a 5/8 inch diameter and will most likely will not thread into the Yakima bike rack. Bike rack manufactures thread their bike rack hitch pin holes specific to their own products. They will not typically make their products compatible with products from other manufacturers.
