Locking Hitch Pin Recommendation for a Thule T2 Pro XTR Bike Rack

Question:

I have a 2.5” hitch with a 2” adapter.. Everything works fine, except I’m concerned that the thin black side pin may pop out while driving. That side pin is the only thing keeping the 2” adapter inside the 2.5” hitch. Can it be tightened, so it is hard pop out? I sort of snaps in place and is relatively easy to pull out. Thank you.

I believe you're looking for a more secure hitch pin solution, in which I have just what you need!

Check out the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver Lock for 2" Hitch - Flush # e98882

This is a locking hitch pin that will lock through your hitch receiver to secure your Thule T2 Pro XTR Bike Rack for 2 Bikes - 2" Hitches # TH83JV.

If you have thicker hitch walls on your hitch, then you'd want to use the etrailer Hitch Receiver Lock for 2" and 2-1/2" Hitches # e98881, which is an 1" longer than # e98882.

Attached are a couple of product overview videos for you to check out as well.
