Yes the Roadmaster Tow Dolly part # RM-2050-1 that you referenced will work great to tow your 2017 Mazda 6. It has over 1,000 lbs more weight capacity than your vehicle would require too since I looked up your vehicle and at most it weighs 3,200 lbs.

I did somet hecking and it looks like your 2018 Chevy Equinox with a 1.5 liter engine and FWD is flat towable as-is. You could use the Demco Kar Kaddy you mentioned or the Roadmaster Tow Dolly part #RM-2050-1 that you referenced as well.
